For the 2019-2020 School Year

 

The Covered Bridge Special Education District announces the following positions:

School Health Specialist

Covered Bridge Special Education District is accepting applications for a licensed registered nurse until May 17, 2019.  The registered nurse will work with medically fragile students, families, agencies and staff in developing, coordinating and implementing services and interventions for students with disabilities.   This position will follow the Vigo County School Corporation school calendar.

Special Education Preschool Teacher

 

Covered Bridge District is accepting applications for a licensed special education preschool teacher for the developmental preschool program until May 14, 2019. The teacher will be working with children from 3-5 years of age. Children have a variety of disabilities and needs. Instruction based upon Indiana Early Learning Foundations. The position is for a Vigo County classroom and will follow the Vigo County School Corporation Calendar.

Licenses needed are as follows:

 

Rules 46-47 Elementary, Early Childhood, Early Childhood with special education minor, Kindergarten/ Primary, any special education license

Rules 2002 Any All Schools Exceptional Needs, Exceptional Needs covering Preschool, Preschool Generalist with any area of exceptional needs

REPA / REPA3 Any Exceptional Needs covering, P-3 / Pre-k / P-12

Special Education Teachers

Covered Bridge Special Education District is currently accepting applications for special education teachers with a current license for various positions throughout Vigo County School Corporation.

Speech Language Pathologists

Covered Bridge Special Education District is currently accepting applications for two speech language pathologists with their CCC certification and licensing. One postion is secondary and the other is preschool.  Interested individuals may apply below online.

The Director’s Secretary is accountable for ensuring continuity of services by providing the clerical expertise and assistance to manage, maintain, and perform the day to day operation of the office.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience using Excel, Word, and general office software and equipment.
  2. Ability to learn software as needed.
  3. Ability to work with limited supervision and a strong attention to detail.
  4. Strong communication skills, verbal and written, with an employee-service orientation.
  5. Advanced clerical, record-keeping and documentation skills.
  6. Accounting/bookkeeping/payroll experience preferred.

  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential

  • Prepare board packets
  • Payroll
  • State reports - Certified Employee, Certified Position, Course Completion, Educator Ratings, and Non-certified
  • Prepare travel requests
  • Run criminal history background checks
  • Maintain employee files
  • Oversee residential contracts and interagency agreements
  • Unemployment claims
  • Employee handbooks
  • Purchase orders and placing orders
  • Reconciles bank statements and makes bank deposits


SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST OPENING 2019-2020

Covered Bridge Special Education District (CBSED) is currently accepting applications for licensed school psychologists and/or school psychology interns for the 2019-2020 school year. CBSED serves students in two school corporations and is located in Terre Haute, Indiana. We are seeking applicants who are knowledgeable and committed to a service delivery model that includes: consultation, collaboration, assessment, and intervention. CBSED has a strong and supportive psychological services team.
